for lower glycemic index snacks to help maintain better control over your
food/hunger cravings, appetite and blood glucose.
- Slice rye bread topped with peanut butter
- 1 oz ham wrapped around rib of celery
- 1 oz turkey wrapped around carrot stick
- Carrot sticks with cottage cheese
- Small bowl bran cereal with low-fat milk
- Hard-cooked egg
- Cheese string and cherry tomatoes
- Roasted garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
- 2 oatmeal cookies
- Cup of regular popcorn
- 1 serving low-GI fresh fruit (apple, orange, pear, peach)
- 1 low-fat cappuccino
- Fruit smoothie (low-fat yogurt, milk & strawberries)
- Whole orange cut into 16 slices
- 1 cup sugar-free yogurt
- 1 cup berries with tbsp cream
- 1/2 cup cherries or grapes
- 1 cup low-fat hot chocolate
- 1 ounce dried apricots
- Scoop of low fat ice-cream
